Jasmine Rice is the most famous exporting product of Thailand, it’s the no. 1 exporting product of Thailand too. The trick to cooking jasmine rice well is using minimal water, so that the rice is steamed, rather than boiled. But be careful not using too little water because the rice will be too dry. Actually it depends on the rice if good rice, it doesn’t need a lot of water but if not so good rice, need a lot of water to make it smooth to eat. Jasmine rice can be prepared easily with electronic cooker.

Jasmine rice can be the signature dish for Thai food. Thai food will not be completed without the dish of jasmine rice. Thai name for Jasmine rice is “khao horm mali”. Thai rice is originally from Thailand. What makes Thai Jasmine rice different from the rice from other countries is that it’s less sticky and it has less amylopectin. Amylopectin is the glucose that can be found in plants.
