Thong Yod is a Thai dessert served in auspicious ceremonies. Thong means Gold in Thai means to wish everyone with gold; much money and treasure, and its color is similar to gold color as well.
Ingredients
• 15 egg yolks
• 10 tbsp. Thong Yod flour (wheat and rice flour mixture)
Ingredients of Syrup
• 10 measuring cups castor sugar
• 6 measuring cups fresh water
Ingredients of Light Syrup
• 1 measuring cups castor sugar
• 1 measuring cups fresh water
How To Cook
1. Separate the yolks from white eggs. Strain though muslin. Squeeze.
2. Blend until thick and fluffy for 15 minutes.
3. Add flour and mix them well.
4. Drop the mixture in boiling syrup. Drop the mixture in the boiling syrup with high heat, you have to drop it in a shape like the water drop. And move them to the cooled light syrup after cooking.

I have a neighbor from Thailand and she has made what she calles Bholoi dessert. What you have in this receipe is much like the balls she has in this coconut syrup and little chuncks of coconuts too. It is eaten warm and it is so good. Do you know the receipe or have you heard of it at all?
